| "Me and Ian? Dating?" Tom opened the drawer and pulled out the frame he'd hidden from Brian. He handed it to him. "That explain it?" The picture was of Tom, sunglasses on, and a boy who looked a bit taller. The other boy had his arms wrapped firmly around Tom's waist, nuzzling at his neck. | |

| "She's severely depressed." Tom mumbled. "When I was three, there was a fire in this restaurant we were in, and it burnt my retinas. She coped ok for a bit, but then Tammy was conceived and it eventually got too much for her. She's in a home." | |
