Ian laughed a little. "You don't know how bad it was for me without you. Thinking that maybe.. you'd move on by the time I got back to you." he admitted, tightening his hold a little more.

"Why would I do that?" Tom traced the side of Ian's face with a gentle finger. "Why would I want to?"

Ian exhaled deeply. "Sometimes, love, I don't feel good enough for you - scrap that. All the time."

"Well, that's silly." Tom said petulantly, pouting.

Tom blushed, leaning in to brush his lips against Ian's.

Brian stared at the mattress with a small smile.

"Oh!" Tom remember, pulling away with a blush tainting his cheeks. "Ian, this is Brian. Brian, this is Ian." He grinned at his friend.

Brian's pale complexion had turned to a shade of bright red when he stared into the boy's eyes. "Hi," he said shyly.

Tom untangled himself from the other boy. "I need to take my contacts out before my eyes blow up."

Brian felt a jolt inside his chest. He sat correctly on the edge of the bed and tried not to stare at Ian.

Tom shut the door behind him and sat on the counter, staring intently into the mirror.

Brian gave the newcomer his best smile, glad he had opted to wear makeup on that day. "So you're the famous Ian."

Usually it was easier to take the lenses out than put them in, but Tom's hands were shaking so violently he just ended up poking himself in the eye.

Ian gave a nod. "I guess I am. And you're Brian, apparently. Hi. What's Tom been telling you about me then eh? Hopefully not anything embarrassing. Although I don't think he knows too many embarrassing things about me." he said, with a friendly grin, and looked towards the direction that Tom had disappeared off to for a moment.

Tom squeaked. He blinked the contact out, deftly catching it before it fell in the sink.

"He didn't tell me much, actually," Brian lied. Why am I saying this? While Ian was looking away, he took the picture frame off the bedside table and slid it under the bed.

"Oh, well.." Ian turned back to Brian, "That's alright. We'll get to know each other just fine, I think." he said with a slight smile, moving to where he had left his bag unattended and dropping it on the closest bed.

The boy swore, his eyes watering. He put it back in its case and moved onto the other one.

Brian's smile widened uncontrollably. "Do you need help with anything?"

The second lens came out a bit easier, leaving the pale boy staring at himself in the mirror.

"Oh, no, but thanks." he smiled sincerely and fumbled around with the bag, trying to figure out what first to unpack. His organizational skills had never been good.

Tom looked at himself. Have I changed? Am I different? Will he still want me? Will it be the same?

Giving up after about thirty seconds, Ian sat on the bed, turning his head to look at the door which he knew Tom was behind. "Are you done in there?" he called, stretching out the last word for emphasis.

Tom jumped, falling off the counter. He swore quietly. "Oh... yeah." He unlocked the door sheepishly.
